LuSHHus Lines - June 23, 2008
I first heard this week’s quote at the annual MOPS convention last year. I think it’s an important message for everyone.
"You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life."
Have a great week.

I first heard this week’s quote at the annual MOPS convention last year. I think it’s an important message for everyone.

Have a great week.
As you probably know, Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday that is observed on the last Monday of May. This holiday commemorates U.S. men and women who died in military service for their country. I think the following quote is appropriate as we remember everyone who has served.
"True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost." ~
Arthur Ashe
Have a great week,
Mother’s Day is Sunday, so let’s honor all the moms out there with this week’s edition of LuSHHus Lines. I thought this quote was rather funny:
"All women become like their mother’s. That is their tragedy. No man does. That’s his." ~ Oscar Wilde
But that is not the sentiment I want to convey. I think the following words are much better.
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the wide world over.
~George Cooper
Have a great week, and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 22) is Earth Day, and so this week living a LuSHHus life will primarily focus on products, services, and such that help reduce our carbon footprints. I thought the following quote would be a good way to start this Earth Day week (by the way, I also liked "Every day is Earth Day!")
"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children." ~ Native American Proverb
Have a wonderful week,
