Two new books have been added to the list of LuSHHus Lit.  First, The Art of Gratitude from the editors of the always elegant Town & Country magazine is the perfect handbook for those who struggle with writing thank-you notes.  This book covers personal and professional examples of expressing appreciation, and offers all sorts of advice on the subject.

Hello!  I’ve been gone a while, and I apologize for my absence.  I’m back and ready to focus on living a LuSHHus life.

I got to read two books in less than one week not too long ago.  This is something I haven’t found time to do in…well, I would say about three years…since my son was born.  I loved both books I read and thought I’d recommend them to you for fun summer reads. 

The books are Sail by James Patterson and An Absolute Scandal by Penny Vincenzi.  Reading the books was even more fun than normal because I read them on my new Kindle.  It’s an incredible little device, and if you like to read even a little bit you’d love the Kindle!

A friend mentioned The Lucky Shopping Manual to me recently, and I just had the chance to check it out.  In this fashion handbook, you will find really useful tips such as:

• which pieces comprise a complete wardrobe
• how to mix and match various pieces
• which items are worth splurging on and which are not
• practical techniques on how to care for and maintain your clothing
• ideas for smart packing
• suggestions on where to shop around the country
• and much more

The editors of Lucky Magazine really packed a lot of advice into this manual, and I think you will enjoy it and benefit from it if you check it out.

Take a look at the list of LuSHHus Lit on the left side of the living a LuSHHus life website, and you will find two new additions to the collection.  Both newcomers would be great reads for anyone who aspires to entertain successfully and they’d make fantastic hostess gifts as well.

The first is Entertaining is Fun by Dorothy Draper.  The book’s flap claims the book is "neither a cookbook nor a book of etiquette, but a vivacious and inspiring book on home entertaining."  It is fun!

Also added to LuSHHus Lit is Elsa Maxwell’s How to Do It - The Lively Art of Entertaining.  Last century’s high society high hostess, Maxwell offers entertaining tips on entertaining that are just as applicable today as they were in 1956 when this book was published.
