Laugh

I just came across a website that has had me laughing out loud for the last 20 minutes, so I thought I’d spread the fun.  Check out Postcards From Yo Momma.  It’s a website that compiles actual e-mails and text messages from moms to their children, and it seems especially fitting since Mother’s Day is this week.  Here are three of my favorite postings:

Number One:

  • me: p.s. what do you want for your bday
  • mom: i want you to do well on your papers and exams
  • me: do you want anything tangible?
  • mom: ooooo good word
  • mom: i think my ambien has kicked in its harder to write so i prooob should go

Number Two:

Oh,
And dad asked if I wanted him to call me “Di” instead of Diane, like the rest of my family does. Isn’t that odd that after 30 years he would ask me that? I told him sure. He called me Di once (with a Scottish accent) and hasn’t called me that again. I just thought that it was strange.
Mommy

Number Three:

If you are ever thinking about giving up your (beautiful custom handmade) dresser unit, (that Tom made for YOU), please let me know before you throw it out.   I really do know that you and Charles are not into wood, and you’d like to get something new, sleek and chrome, silver, or whatever.  I’ve discussed this with Tom.  It won’t hurt any body’s feelings, at this point in time.  I can’t imagine that you would hold onto something as a keepsake.  Please let me know. asap.  It’s really OK.

Cheers!
